Fighting Poverty with Passion

Welcoming New VISTAs

The Tulane University’s Center for Public Service would like to welcome our new VISTAs to their service terms in New Orleans. Working with our community partners are Tom, Carol, Sarah, Wendy, Amy, Sara G, Chao, Jack, Natalie, Emily and Maggie and they are extremely excited to immerse themselves in the community.

We would also like to congratulate and bid farewell to our VISTAs who have finished their service terms and are moving on to bigger and better things. Betsy Bateman, Lauren Lim, Jack Hua and Richard Tang are now full-fledged medical students at Tulane University. Kathleen Duffy returned to New York City and is working in health.  Jason Lacoste enjoyed his VISTA year so much he joined Hands On New Orleans as a VISTA.  Jean Hsu is traveling the world and Kylie Kastes is working in New Orleans with the Running Company.

CPS and the VISTA program also have new partnerships with Girls on the Run, Eden House and the Partnership for Youth Development.

The VISTA future is looking bright!
