Fighting Poverty with Passion

Field Report: Communities in Schools New Orleans

A few of the VISTA ladies hanging out.

An Ode to Kaylie

The joy she must get out of recycling

Coming home covered in paint

Together we never went bicycling

But I still think she’s a saint

She helped with a great gala

And before hosted a falafel night

All the while rats were living under her hood

Then she said “cya lata”

To Florida, she was out of our sight

We’ll see her again some day, it was understood
