Fighting Poverty with Passion

Field Report: New Orleans Outreach

I have been so happy with the dedication and perseverance of many of our service learners this semester.

Most of them are fulfilling their service-learning requirement as tutors for students at our partner schools that are struggling in specific areas. In many cases, the impact of their work with these students has been extremely evident in the work that the students are doing. A few weeks ago, I was excited to find out that some of the tutors are planning to arrange their class schedules so that they are able to return next semester to work with the same student. Its really incredible to witness the relationships that they have formed this past semester. The pictures in this post are of service learners working with our students.
